Understanding the “S” in STEM

Science is everywhere. Security, healthcare, biology…science affects just about everything we do and is a driving factor for success around the world. To stay ahead of the increasingly advanced global curve, students must be savvy, and educators must prepare them with the necessary tools to stay competitive through science education degree programs.

Scientific advances will be coming at them from every direction, so the more exposure to science education students have, the more you will be preparing future doctors, politicians, explorers, voters, citizens, and scientists to continue to strive to make our world a better place. The overall purpose of the UC STEM program is to integrate the specific topics of science, technology, engineering, and math into all subject areas.
