Continuing Education

As an educator, you understand the importance and need for continued learning. You know that to ensure your students are getting the best education possible, you need to be up-to-date on the latest research and theories about effective teaching and learning strategies. Even if you’re not teaching students directly, your desire to gain the skills necessary to advance all aspects of the educational process have led you here. The University of Cincinnati is proud to provide continuing education courses for educators in the classroom and beyond.

Continuing education courses serve as a helpful tool in refreshing your teaching skills while also informing you of new changes within the educational field. These courses provide you with a network of peers, making available to you the opportunity for discussions of trends and techniques being utilized in other school districts and states. Additionally, continuing education courses can help fulfill your personal development goals and may apply as credit toward required professional development courses required by your state department of education to maintain your teaching license.

The University of Cincinnati Master of Education program offers several different paths of study, making a variety of courses applicable to various subjects available for continuing education students. Individuals enrolled in continuing education courses are able to choose the courses that fit their personal goals and interests.

Hi, I’d like to know if a US citizen who is currently teaching science abroad and has a degree in Biochemistry will be eligible for the online master’s program. Secondly, upon completion of this master’s program, does it lead to the teacher’s certification in Ohio state ?

Hi Julia – Thank you for getting in touch with us! Yes, even if you are teaching abroad you are still eligible for the program. Unfortunately, our program is not designed to lead to lead to licensure in Ohio. Please feel free to call me at 800-226-0075 and I will be happy to answer any additional questions you have as well as share more program information with you.
