Is the course work for the TESOL program acceptable for a Kentucky teacher who is attempting to move from rank II to rank 1 ? I currently teach high school English and have no TESOL certifications.

  • Hi Mark – Thank you for inquiring about our TESOL program. We do meet the criteria for Rank I and meet the state requirements in Ohio for students to be eligible for the endorsement. I would encourage you to follow-up with your state to see if our curriculum meets your state requirements. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us at 800-226-0075 so that we may discuss the program in greater detail.

I am interested in the TESOL online propram. I am not a certified teacher, don’t plan to become certified and understand that even with a TESOL Masters I would not be able to teach K-12. Is this still the program for me if I am interested in teaching privately, community college or abroad? Thanks!!!

  • Hi Melissa, thank you for inquiring about our Master’s in C &I TESOL. Our program will equip you to become more proficient in curriculum & instruction and also equip you to reach student from k-12 grade. Please give us a call at 800-226-0075 so we can discuss the program together. Look forward to hearing from you.

I would like to know if any part of this program requires its students to travel to the university’s campus. Also I am interested in potentially working with university aged students as well as adult, will this program only benefit me for K-12? Thanks!

  • Hi Catherine,

The convenience and flexibility of the distance learning program allows prospective students to arrange school around their schedule with no required campus visits. The University of Cincinnati Master of Education degree programs are designed for teachers who are interested in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs in mostly a K-12 setting. Our Enrollment Advisors at 1-800-226-0075 would be more than happy to discuss the program with you in more detail.
