Principal Clinical Internship

The Principal Clinical Internship is a four-credit course completed during your second year in the Educational Leadership program. You will be required to research, develop, and lead a project within a school, and then measure its effectiveness. Students and graduates rave about the value this course brings to their education. The goal of the Principal Clinical Internship course is to provide you with a quality learning experience that engages you in the guided practice of educational administration. The course is a clinical or internship learning experience that is planned, guided, and evaluated cooperatively by the student, the university professor, and the field site mentor who is a licensed, practicing administrator.

Interacting on a daily basis with principals and administrators provides a glimpse into the world you may enter, and allows you to focus on the areas that help you become a well-rounded professional. Another benefit of the internship, combined with a strong online program, is to immediately implement the theories and skills you learn in your courses.
