Irene Trunick, Assistant Academic Director, Curriculum and Instruction
Irene Trunick serves the University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Academic Director and concurrently is a graduate student in the Master’s program for Literacy and Second Language Studies. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University where her wide range of interests and studies included German, tourism and the social sciences, along with cultural and physical geography. Her experience includes many years of managing an accredited career school of travel and tourism where she designed curriculum, created text and teaching materials, taught students, and served as mentor and coach to many. She has served on the board for an international tourism educator organization and as an officer in organizations representing the tourism industry worldwide. In addition, Irene has made presentations and given workshops for national and international tourism conferences. She has also taught career services workshops and presented at national meetings in that field.
