Hi! I have been teaching for about 10 years. I would love to get my Masters, but with teaching full time, and very young chilren at home, I think online courses would be the best option for me. I see that you are NCATE accredited. I was wondering if the classes lead to licensure and a step up in pay scale. I know some online universities offer a masters, but do not offer it for licensure. I was also wondering, if I get my masters from you, and then in a few years I want to go locally to a college and work on my specialist or ed.d, will my masters be accepted?
Thanks for your help, and sorry for such a long question.
Hi Carla – Our online program is designed for full time teachers with families like you in mind. We have no set log in times to make the program as flexible and convenient as possible! Licensure and changes in pay scale are always determined by individual states, so it is best to check with your department of education to make sure you get the best, most up-to-date information. In regards to how our program will fit for teaching in higher education, that will depend on local colleges and universities requirements. I will have an Enrollment Advisor follow up with you so that we can answer any additional questions that you may have.
